Mothercare School

Dressed in yellows of all hues, Mothercare children celebrated Basant Panchmi with Saraswati Pooja and blessings.

Marching in to school happy and excited with flowers of all varieties. Their flower arrangements could have won prizes in any adult competition. The school was a riot of colours. See for yourself below.

With hundreds of arrangements and all so beautiful judging was a difficult task.

Every Child participated and got blessings, tika and laddu from the Great Grand Mother of Mothercare School.

Mothercare Nursery children are now able to draw what they want to, colour it, cut it and even decide how and where to put it up. See how they have incorporated.

We have painted, filled them with tear and paste , painted them but aunty drew them for us.

Fruits, vegetables, animals, insects from their favourite stories to do up their class room.

These sea animals we started loving from the LITTLE MERMAID story.

Activity Schedule: January to March 2016

Sports day: 14th February. Sunday:  yoga/drill/races/hurdles/balancing
20 per class to be practiced.

Handwork:  class rooms to be done up by children’s handwork , based on appropriate stories on a continuous basis. Week’s work to be put up on every Saturday for combined review by all of us. Office boards to be ready by 16th Saturday

Flower arrangement: 5th February. Friday. Children should know all the names of flowers in bloom in the garden. Start showing them arrangements right from now. Kids start getting flowers and trying out arrangements

English and Hindi elocution: 3 phase contest. List out 20 poems each and put up on class board and office board.
January: 25th to 29th        February: 15th to 20th           March: 7th to 11th

Drawing contest: January:  18th to 23rd       February: 1st to  5th      March: 1st to 5th
A  lot of exposure to free hand drawing to be given. Make children draw events, stories, poems, festivals, myself, my mom, my family, my home, school, favourite things etc.

Evaluation: last week February orals
First week March:  writtens

Report cards: 18th March Friday

School closed from 21st to 25th March for Holi and session change over. Parents have to buy the books for new session before school reopens for new session on 28th MARCH.

As per DM’s order, school will remain closed for children from 20th January, Wednesday to 23rd January, Saturday due to the cold wave.

Daycare will be open.

We learnt to be very careful around the bonfire, how to shell the peanuts and really enjoyed the gur ki rewari.  What fun to be back in school. What fun to have dance, music and sunshine.
